Revealing a place still under construction

January 2026. At 288 boulevard Saint-Germain, work is still in full swing, with opening scheduled for the autumn. Yet it was that evening, at the Four Seasons George V, that IN SITU chose to unveil Work Palace to its first guests. Opening the door to them was impossible. The place had to come to them.

02 · the angle

Entering through the artwork

It all begins in darkness. A door opens ajar, a thread of golden light escapes. No wide shot, no guided tour: the film chooses to suggest rather than show. The light slides over Justin Weiler's painted panels, brushes the stone, lingers on a detail. The place remains a secret, glimpsed through the gap.

03 · the execution

The Palace in fragments

Corinthian capitals, acanthus leaves, mascarons, arches, the balusters of the rotunda: the camera grazes each ornament in raking light, never showing the whole façade. Designed for a panoramic screen six times wider than it is tall, the film closes as it opened: on a door of light, then a name, Work Palace.

The recap.

A door opening ajar, a façade in fragments, a door closing. In 1 min 37, Work Palace revealed itself before even opening its doors.
